My name is Joshua Saporiti and I attended the East-West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, WI. The educational program was specifically focused on covering all of the fundamental aspects of the primary massage modalities (such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Tui Na, Shiatsu, and acupressure.) After graduating in August of 2006, I became nationally certified by the ABMP and NCBTMB in early 2008. I started building my clientele at this time. I also refined my skills with internships, working beside practitioners of Acupuncture, Shiatsu, and Myofascial Release, and Herbology. Besides hands-on bodywork I am also very experienced with moxa, cupping, E-stim, medicated herbal oils, and offering sound advice.
At this time I have a have been a freelance massage therapist for seven years. I have developed and refined my awareness and adaptability, and realize that the best way to help you, my clients, community, friends, and family... is to continue learning and experiencing.
With that goal in mind I am continuing to expand my skills by studying Oriental Medicine, and will finish working on a Master's in Oriental Medicine in 2013.
My LMT license # is 227013589. Yes, Illinois has finally processed my application!
